Waldom stocks more than 100,000 part numbers and, while top-selling “A and B” items are well represented, Waldom’s wider number of slower-moving “C and D” items serves to differentiate our inventory from the rest of the channel. Our broad inventory position is enhanced by programs designed to speed delivery of product to our distributor customers in less than factory minimum order quantity (MOQ), while our cost-plus pricing model enhances channel resale. Our Vanishing MOQs program allows the purchase of just a single item – even where a supplier minimum is thousands of pieces. Our NPI Launch speeds the delivery of new product into the channel, while also reducing the risk of future returns of unsold or slow-moving initial packages. Waldom’s Mini-Reel provides, as an example, ¼ size reels at the same piece cost as the full-size reel. Similarly, our Mini-Pack program reduces suppliers’ bulkpacked product into convenient 10-pack and 100-pack quantities. Waldom develops display kits and dedicated kit web sites in collaboration with our suppliers as part of our Engineering Kits Now program. Waldom’s Supplier Samples Now service provides same-day shipment of sample quantities to distributors, suppliers’ direct sales people and Manufacturer’s Representatives.

Our Electrical Connect program is designed to allow our suppliers to meet the needs of electrical distributors in partnership with Waldom. Similarly, suppliers looking to expand into new geographies without establishing their own distribution network utilize Waldom’s Regional Partner program.

Our EMOQ program allows suppliers to align MOQ to Efficient Manufacturing Order Quantities, resulting in larger shipment quantity, less set-up time and less order processing. Managing the long-tail of part numbers that typically result in the last 20% of a supplier’s revenue stream, Waldom’s Long Tail program provides an exclusive channel where suppliers consolidate production through Waldom to support authorized distributors. Our Master Reseller program provides distributors the ability to promote and sell a supplier product line, while suppliers benefit by shifting customer service, demand fulfillment and accounts receivable to Waldom.

As a neutral partner with access to thousands of channel partners in multiple end-user markets, Waldom is uniquely positioned to recover value from products that might otherwise find their way into the grey market. The Waldom Product Recovery Program™ directs authorized distributor scrap allowances and stock rotations to our secure warehouse where product is thoroughly screened for proper labeling, traceability, packaging and date code compliance – all at no cost to the supplier. Price integrity is maintained through a cost-plus pricing strategy developed in collaboration with each supplier, eliminating market-price erosion that would otherwise undercut the authorized channel.

Waldom shares the recovered value with each supplier and the entire process is fully transparent by way of a private extranet web site customized to each participating supplier. Excess supplier stock is eligible for the same benefit in our Factory Excess program. Suppliers’ shelves overrun by less than MOQ of multiple items can market their inventory to thousands of channel customers using our MOQ Plus program.
